Thank you for your intention to make a charitable gift to the Sharon Community Trust (SCT)!

Until we acquire our own 501c(3) status, the Preservation Trust of Vermont (PTV) will be serving as our fiscal sponsor. All contributions can go to PTV and then are granted to SCT. Please know that 100% of your gift will go to our local project; PTV does not take a percentage or administrative fee.

MAIL A CHECK TO PTV’S OFFICE: Please note on the check that the gift is for the Sharon Community Trust.  Also, please note how you (or your family) would like to be listed in PTV’s Annual Report. Let them know if the gift is in honor or in memory of someone important to you, or if your contribution is anonymous. Mail your check and info to:

GIVE MUTUAL FUNDS, STOCKS AND BONDS: You can make a tax-deductible gift by transferring appreciated stocks, bonds or mutual funds electronically, through your broker. Your contribution will be tax deductible at the fair market value of your donated holdings. Please let Lisa Espenshade know if you are making a gift of stock, and what stocks will be in the gift.

MAKE A GIFT FROM YOUR IRA: A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) allows people who are 70½ years old or older to donate up to $111,000 per person to a charity (or several) directly from a taxable IRA. These gifts by check should be mailed directly to PTV.

MAKE A GIFT BY WIRE TRANSFER: If you would like to wire a gift, please contact Lisa Espenshade at PTV and she will send you instructions.
